Non.Sight is an independent, artist-led space for contemporary art, research, and experimental practices, located in the Istanbul Manifaturacılar Çarşısı (İMÇ).
Founded in 2021 by artists Merve Denizci and Doğancan Yılmaz, Non.Sight began as a studio, living, and working space and gradually evolved into a space open to exhibitions, artistic production, research, and encounters.
Located within one of Istanbul’s significant modernist architectural complexes, Non.Sight considers İMÇ not simply as a location, but as an active part of its practice. The architectural, social, and everyday conditions of the site inform its program, its relationships with artists, and the forms of production developed in relation to its surroundings.
Non.Sight aims to provide artists with time, space, and resources for experimentation and production. Through exhibitions, residencies, workshops, performances, talks, and collaborative projects, it seeks to create an accessible environment for artistic exchange and collective production.
Working through collaboration and site-responsive practices, Non.Sight aims to contribute to Istanbul’s independent cultural landscape while developing connections with artists, spaces, and initiatives beyond Türkiye.
